Traditional Japanese Metal Inlay Technique
I am going to start teaching at Tucson Parks & Recreation at Randolph Center from June.
This facility has been offering Metalsmithing courses over 35 years and I am very honored to be a part of Tucson arts community.
I am going to offer Traditional Japanese inlay technique class here and the registration starts on the 4th of May, Saturday.
It is 8-week long class and it covers inlay chisel making and basic dot and line inlay techniques. We will be using Japanese copper alloy metal to create inlay pieces then finish up with Niiro, a Japanese patination process, to bring out the color of Japanese alloy metals.
Start date : June 4th, Tuesdays
Time : 9am - noon
Costs: $147 (residence) $181 (non-residence) plus supply cost $120
