I will be offering an experimental class this Fall at Multnomah Art Center.
Are you interested in using glass in your jewelry? Have you been curious about combining glass and metal? This class is it! Learn basic glass bead and cabochon making techniques using a propane torch (also called lamp-work glass).
Then move on to fusing metal and glass by using various metal leaf, silver dust, and copper wire. (This is not kiln fusing.)
Experiment on water casting with sterling silver, for unique additional parts to work with the glass. This class is great for creating original pendants, ornaments, or gifts.
Prerequisite: Metals I or equivalent.
No glass experience necessary.
Price: $361 includes an $85 studio and materials fee which is non-refundable after class begins.
Date: Oct. 4 - Dec. 6 Wed. 1 - 4 pm [10 classes]
